With over 300 years of combined craftsmanship experience and one of the largest tool rooms in the area, Texol have the depth of knowledge and expertise to tackle almost any job. As well as possessing all the necessary skills, the highly motivated Toolroom team are able to handle ‘Design for Manufacture’ issues (DFM), in tandem with the Design & Product Development team, to minimise development cycle times and reduce production costs.
Texol’s commitment to the toolroom has bucked the trend of other manufacturing companies who eschew traditional engineering skills. Texol are actively investing in the section’s future by the implementation of a new apprenticeship scheme, which should secure the future of the Toolroom for many years to come. |

The Toolroom is a highly valued, integral facility within Texol Solutions providing direct support for all internal departments including development support for Texol Products and tooling services to external customers.
Texol's Toolroom staff design and manufacture tooling and fixtures for all primary productions areas including blanking, forming and welding. Another main use of the Toolroom is to create manufacturing aids for the mechanical & electronic assembly areas, which increase throughput and help to reduce planning time, start-up costs and production downtime.
The Toolroom is crucial in the development of new and revised products, by use of prototyping and component refinement methods. Texol are able to support the development process through to initial production. |
